Privacy policy
Last updated April 27, 2026
This policy describes how X Reply Suggest (the browser extension) and this marketing website treat information. If anything here conflicts with your AI provider's terms, the provider's terms govern for data you send to them.
Summary
- API keys and extension settings stay in your browser unless you export them yourself.
- When you generate replies, text you choose to send is transmitted to the third-party model provider you configured (for example OpenRouter, xAI, Google, or GitHub), not to a server we operate for inference.
- This site does not require an account to read marketing pages. Standard host and CDN logs may still apply where you deploy.
The extension
X Reply Suggest runs locally in Chromium-based browsers. It injects UI on x.com / twitter.com and uses a background service worker to call APIs you configure.
Local storage.Provider choice, model selection, and API keys are stored using the browser's extension storage APIs. They are not synced to our servers because we do not operate a companion backend for this project as shipped from this repository.
Content you send for AI.To produce suggestions, the extension sends the post context and system instructions to your selected provider's API. That provider may log, retain, or train according to their own policies. Review their documentation before enabling a key.
Permissions. Host permissions are limited to the domains needed for X/Twitter and the AI endpoints declared in the extension manifest. The extension does not read unrelated tabs.
This website
The marketing site (for example pages like Home, Support, and this Privacy page) may be hosted on a platform such as Vercel. That platform can process technical data like IP address, TLS metadata, and request paths for security and reliability. Embedded demos (such as YouTube) load third-party scripts and are governed by those services' policies.
We do not intentionally use first-party advertising cookies on this template. If you add analytics or auth to your deployment, update this section to name those vendors and purposes.
Children
X Reply Suggest is not directed at children under 13, and the underlying services (X and AI providers) impose their own age requirements. Do not use the extension in violation of those requirements.
Changes
We may revise this policy when the extension or site behavior changes materially. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest in-repo version; deploy your own changelog if you fork the project.
